Arlene Fernandez, Manager
Arlene is a true professional. She began as a dental assistant in the 80’s and fell in love. Always abreast of changes in the profession and seeking growth in her career, her transition to office manager was inevitable. With over thirty years of experience in dentistry, she is an excellent patient advocate with insurance and works hard to provide top notch service. Her favorite part of working here is when patients tell her how happy they are with their care. It makes her smile! When she’s not working, you may catch Arlen bicycling around town or hanging out with a good book and her puppy, Fred.
Suzanne Balderas, RDH
As a Registered Dental Hygienist with more than 14 years of service to patients Suzanne is passionate about oral care and whole body health . She is a dedicated clinician and always gives 100% to our patients. Quality patient care is very important to her and being sure that patients receive the absolute best care while with her is one of her top priorities. She enjoys being part of a team that provides a high level of care and is on the cutting edge of technology. She enjoys working as a hygienist, because it is fulfilling to be able to help our patients achieve a healthier smile. Suzanne has one daughter and a son, and she enjoys spending time with her husband and children outside of work traveling, swimming and enjoying the beach.
Pam Mendez, RDH
Pam has been working in the dental field for forty-two years. She received her Registered Dental Assistant license and A.S. degree from Chaffey College in 1978. After obtaining her A.S. degree, she worked as an Orthodontic Assistant for fifteen years. She received her Registered Dental Hygiene license in 1994 from Pasadena City College and was awarded the In Clinic Professionalism Award. Since then, she has enjoyed working in general dentistry and periodontics. Pam worked with Dr. Van Doren for twenty-five years and continued with Dr. Kueckels when he sold the office in 2018. She is dedicated to her profession and passionate for the oral health care of her patients. In her spare time, Pam enjoys boating and camping with her husband.

Alex Burton, CDA
Alex is an extraordinary and multitalented Certified Dental Assistant of over ten years. In her front-office role, she is second to none as a patient advocate with insurance companies. As a back-office assistant, she enjoys working hands-on to help our patients achieve the healthy and confident smiles that they always dreamed of. Whatever the task, she strives to make each visit enjoyable. Each patient’s comfort is important to her and when they’re happy, she’s happy. She loves “being a Mom to [her] littles” and you may see her on a paddleboard or relaxing by the pool when the sun shines.
Kanicka Babb, RDA
Kanicka is a dental professional with lots of experience. For over 20 years, she has served the community directly as a registered dental assistant. She has a true passion for patient care, and it shows. In addition to her chair-side duties, Kanicka has been working for the past six years as a dental assistant instructor where she guides future generations to provide excellence in treatment in comforting and compassionate ways. A mother and grandmother, she enjoys swimming and has been known to get caught up in a good book now and then. Her motto is “We all have the power to change the world one smile at a time”.
